Making Cannabis Gummy Bears

Don’t want to smoke or vape? Edibles are a convenient alternative to inhaling cannabis - and they can be pretty tasty as well!

Here's a simple recipe you can use to make some delicious cannabis-infused gummy bears of your own.

What you’ll need

• ¼ cup cannabis-infused coconut oil
• ½ cup water
• 1oz unflavoured gelatin
• 6oz flavoured gelatin mix (like Jell-o)
• Candy molds
• Dropper or glass with spout
• Cooking spray
• Small saucepan or pot
• Parchment paper

Directions

1. Bring water and coconut oil to a roiling boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly
2. Add unflavoured gelatin (one package at a time), stirring constantly until all the gelatin is mixed in
3. Add flavoured gelatin mix (one package at a time), stirring constantly until all the gelatin is mixed in
4. Continuing stirring until mixture comes to a roiling boil (about 5 mins)
5. Spray your candy molds with cooking spray
6. While continuing to stir the mixture, use the dropper or spouted glass (I recommend the dropper) to begin filling the molds (you’ll need to act quickly during this step or the mixture will start to set in the pan)
7. If you have any mixture left after filling all the molds, pour remaining mixture on the parchment paper
8. Place molds and parchment paper in fridge to cool for about an hour

Remember, it’s always best to go slow with edibles until you’ve figured out their potency. Start with a few gummies (2-3) first and wait about an hour for the effects to begin. If needed, increase the dose by a few gummies at a time until you’ve found the amount that works for you.
